Chiropractic Services

Intersegmental Traction

Decompression combined with specific positioning, on the intersegmental traction table, takes pressure off structures in your back and neck that are causing pain.

Electrical Simulation

An electrical device sends currents through the skin via small electrodes that target muscles. Used in muscle toning, muscle spasm relaxation, and pain prevention.

Trigger Point Therapy

Pressure added to these specific areas, of tender muscle tissue, causing it to relax and release in order to relieve pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body.

Ultrasound Therapy

This increases the elasticity and restores your tissue back to its normal state. This is essential because the healthier your elastic tissue is, the less prone you are to re-injury.

Find Pain relief with trigger point therapy

Trigger points, or muscle "knots", are tender areas you can feel in your muscles.

The therapist applies pressure to these specific areas, of tender muscle tissue, causing it to relax and release in order to relieve pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body.

The same trigger point may be worked several times during a session and may feel sore, however, this will subside when the pressure is released and the area feels better.

The healing power of Ultrasound

Ultrasound Therapy
A therapeutic ultrasound alternates compression and rarefaction (which is the decrease of density and pressure- the opposite of compression) of sound waves. Intensity decreases as the waves penetrate deeper. The waves are primarily absorbed by connective tissue. (Examples: ligaments, tendons, facia, and scar tissue) The sounds waves bounce off the tissue and soften it, this increases the elasticity and restores your tissue back to its normal state. This is essential because the healthier your elastic tissue is, the less prone you are to re-injury. By getting rid of scar tissue you reduce the chance of a life-long, chronic condition, like arthritis or tendonitis. Ultrasound Therapy will not only increase you soft tissue recovery rate, it will help your body rid itself of scar tissue.
Diagnostic Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging is a noninvasive, safe technique for making medical images of the human body. The Medical ultrasound imaging uses sound waves that are very similar to what people hear, but these particular waves use a very high frequency that have a pitch to high for the human ear to register. The wonderful thing about a medical diagnostic ultrasound is that it is a very safe way to image the interior of the human body which only exposes the patient to high frequency sound waves.

Traction

Research has shown that use of an intersegmental traction table can greatly accelerate recovery from injury, help facilitate muscle relaxation and reduce muscle spasm. It can also improve the overall health of your spine. Please ask your doctor before you make an appointment to make sure you are a good candidate, especially if you have a new injury, accident or new episode.

Electrical Stimulation

Electrical Stimulation, or E-Stim, is the use of an electrical device that sends currents through the skin via small electrodes that target muscles. Muscle stimulation has a wide variety of uses within the medical and chiropractic field including muscle toning, muscle spasm relaxation, and pain prevention. E-Stim is used to induce muscle contractions that are stimulated by excitation (current) produced directly at the motor nerve. Currents act just like signals sent from the brain to cause muscle contractions. This treatment is commonly used as part of an adjustment.
